HLTAID011 Provide First Aid equips you with practical know-how to respond swiftly and safely to emergencies—whether at work, home, or in your community. You’ll learn how to assess situations, deliver lifesaving first aid (including CPR and AED use), and manage common injuries and illnesses until qualified help arrives. Delivered face to face in‑person this practical training and assessment ensures you grasp hands-on skills.
What you’ll learn
- Recognise and assess emergency situations to ensure safety for yourself and others
- Apply first aid protocols including CPR, AED use, recovery positioning, and managing bleeding, burns, fractures, asthma, anaphylaxis, choking, and shock
- Communicate effectively - calling emergency services, reporting incidents, and completing necessary documentation while maintaining privacy
- Respond to psychological impacts on yourself and others, and contribute to debrief and review processes

You’ll come away with
- A nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID011 Provide First Aid (plus HLTAID009 and HLTAID010) upon successful completion
